I have an offer from Atlassian for $353k TC, that includes base + bonus + stocks. I make $445k at Snap at the moment as an L4, thanks to some outperformance equity grants. Does it make sense to move to Atlassian for a $90k pay cut?
Isn’t snap RTO4? Whereas Atlassian is remote? Might be worth it but for L4 your pay is quite good
I’m remote in Snap
Amazing
That's a big pay cut but it may be worth it if you are looking for a fully remote job that's not going to return to office. You could always keep interviewing and try to get another offer closer to your current comp. Personally I think Atlassian is a great place and really dedicated to remote work, feel free to DM me if you have any questions.
Hey Atlassian. Are you giving out referrals?
I’m remote in Snap too but it gets reviewed each year
Hey! sorry I know its unrelated but theres a position posted at snap that is perfect for my profile, would you be able to give me a referral? I can dm you my resume and linkedin profile to verify things before hand. https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?currentJobId=3904385624&keywords=snap%20inc.&origin=BLENDED_SEARCH_RESULT_NAVIGATION_JOB_CARD&originToLandingJobPostings=3904385624%2C3909531948%2C3909533880
DM me, I unfortunately don’t refer strangers because it’s difficult to make a case for them 🙁
@fisherpop no worries, just DMed you!
Is that a p4 or p5 offer from atlassian? YOE? zone? Can share how it is with those inputs
Senior, so not sure if it’s P5
Which pay zone is it if I may ask please?
Definitely not worth going to Atlassian, even without the pay cut.
Just for my curiosity, what sort if work do you do?
I have heard Atlassian is going through a lot of restructuring
Not really, there was a tiny layoff of some professional services members.
Yoe please
Maybe you can finally fix Jira
Looking at $SNAP today I might not be able to help 😉
What is the main reason to even consider a pay cut ? Pip ?
Just bad work pressure and SNAP not going anywhere and all of us internally acting as if we’re curing cancer.
Cancer will be next year. This year we are solving the Teen Mental Health Crisis.
