Snapchat L4 TC: 368 (190/178/19) Cloud Kitchens TC: 350 (175/175/?) Google L4 TC: ??? YoE: 6 Notes: - I have an opportunity to get Google L5 if I pass an additional sys. design interview tomorrow - CK equity vests annually with 10/20/30/40 schedule - CK is working on an annual bonus / refresher program which should be available in 2021 - Snap RSU vests monthly over 3 yrs - Made it to onsites for FB and Databricks but ultimately got rejected - Better team fit at Snap and CK than Google. #tech #offer
Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on CK as well
Many other companies in food industry are trying to do the same. I think either CK will be acquired or they will fade over time.
Did you get a sense for how much CK's stock might grow, and when it will become liquid? Did you manage to negotiate improvements for any of these offers?
Lots of ex-ubers there that are really optimistic about the growth potential. They swear by TK’s leadership. Recruiter kept comparing it to uber’s growth trajectory which implies they could 10x from where it is today. My concern is that investors might value it more as a REIT than a technology company. I’m in the process of negotiating but don’t think I can squeeze out more than like 20-30k on either side.
Don’t listen to recruiters’ pitches, that’s their job, to sell you on their offer. And no, I’m not saying cloud kitchens are a bad idea, this applies to every company
Id choose snap since pre ipo stock isnt liquid but post is.
Is cloud kitchens new or has it been around? It’s hard to tell from the recruiting emails whether they’re rebuilding the team or something.
They founded 2016 but I guess they’ve been hiring more the last two years, due to the hypergrowth that they are seeing
Congrats! I would take snap! Which team will you be matched with snap?
CK has a major reorg earlier this year. My old teammate contacted me that time to see if I want to join. I guess they lost some talents on that time.
How was snap coding interview difficulty? Should i focus on graphs and dp? Prep tips?
Are you optimistic that cloud kitchens is the future?
