Can anybody talk about how it is working at Snap? Blind has a negative sentiment on how they hired a lot of Amazonions and that ruined the culture. Is it just because they're bringing in Amazon practices or they're incompetent? Recruiter reached out to interview and they're working on something which i have been doing at FB/IG for a few years and have built a successful product stream bringing in $$$. Anybody who moved from FB to Snap, mind sharing your thoughts? Also, if anybody at Snap interested in chatting about it, I can DM you. I really appreciate yoir help! Thanks!
Everything is fine under that TC.
Snap isn’t anything like Amazon. It’s such a silly comment. Like anywhere, do your due diligence on the team and the management style of the team. There are lots of healthy fun teams at Snap, and you can have a lot of impact.
Obviously there are a lot from Amazon in the Seattle office, but they optimize for culture fit differently, so the office as a whole is pretty chill.
It’s great.
Honestly been having a great time at Snap. And much better wlb than the majority of FB without the fear of getting PIPed every half.
So funny...the answer was totally opposite a year ago.
the answers all depend on the current stock price :) people love working here when it’s up and hate it when it’s down... btw i used to work at Google and there were a lot of former amazonians and oracle employees etc.... especially in cloud
