Rough times ahead if they don’t deliver
What is a Snapchat ?
~18 people laid off out of 2,600?! This article is great clickbait. Slowing down makes sense. They hired >2,000 in two years.
It’s 18 people in HR. They’ve probably just realized they needed to bring in a new team to help improve culture. I’m sure the company is fine for now...this really isn’t a strong signal for anything.
Wrong, has nothing to do with culture. They fired recruiters because their hiring is slowing dramatically.
crap product. no value
You are just too old for it
What flavor kool aid do you guys have on tap?
For context 18 recruiters were laid off due to planned slowdown in hiring. We want to break even soon 🤷🏽♂️
A swipe filter company?
You shouldn’t talk. Glassdoor is a pathetic product and will get destroyed by Comparably and others. Plus, every engineer and PM I’ve worked with from Glassdoor is worthless.
You are trivializing it. I would imagine Snapchat has some interesting scaling and analytics problems to solve. Plus, I have no idea how I’d even start implementing a filter that altered my face like they do.
Snap wont be a thing in 1 year, pray you trick someone into buying you, just not msft. We dont need another write down
Not a big deal for snap. It was probably the right choice. They will likely grow well in short term. Not sure about long term
Well yea...duh.
