It’s not a post sales role!! But yes this is a consumption based business so you just don’t sell and move to next customer. you stay close to your customer as they ramp up their workload on GCP. Help them with architecture, security, high level migration planning.

Not the best source, but after reading a lot of what Google Customer Engineers do (on blind) it sounds like it’s way more in the post-sales/drive consumption side of the role than pre-sales, like a pseudo support role.
Interesting. That must depend on the org. I have a friend who is a Google CE on the infra modernization org, and he told me his duties are 100% presales (solutions/architecture design, planning, discovery, etc).
This is very interesting, usually pre sales is better paid than post sales. Are you saying post sales gets more at Google ?
