'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
I think there’s a reason for SpaceX’s practice, such as minimizing the risk of IP theft by other countries. Usually, it’s more reasonable to hire foreigners when it comes to cost savings. There are lots of h1b s and asylees in TSLA. But SpaceX is different. What do you think? US government sues Elon Musk's SpaceX over hiring policy https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-66610725
Is it even legal for refugee to work?
It is. Once you have a pending asylum case, you can easily apply for work authorization.
You need to be an approved asylee in order to be considered by SpaceX, given defense restrictions. Pending application doesn’t cut it.
Why restrict to refugees and asylum seekers only ? Fuckers so biased due to their political agendas. So many H1B workers who are way more qualified have no way to join SpaceX as they claim they can only legally hire citizens.
Maybe understand the law before you accuse other people of being biased? H-1B holders do not have a legal right to work wherever they want. Companies can refuse to sponsor H-1B transfers or petitions, because these impose an actual cost — and manifold indirect legal obligations — on the company. Workers who are asylees/refugees with employment authorization have an unconditional legal right to work. Hiring them imposes no more cost on the company than hiring a citizen/green card holder does. That’s why it’s illegal to discriminate against them.
Yes and I’m saying that allowing asylum workers more rights than an H1B is perfect for the companies. What a retard. What makes them more legally able to work in certain areas than people who have lots more fuckin experience than most of them ? Just because they escaped from a war torn country ? Come on what a farce. I know the law real well, all I’m saying is that it’s such a joke that they allow people seeking asylum and refugees more “legality” because they can get an EAD than a highly educated person on H1B. The requirements just don’t make any sense.
😂 Our DOJ are so stupid
Yes, as long as a person has a valid work authorization you can't discriminate on the basis of their citizenship status. A Google search would have told you that.. Note that if a job requires a security clearance, that's not discrimination because there it's clear that it is a role requirement that can only be fulfilled by citizens. Similarly, if a company doesn't sponsor H1B, that's not discrimination. I don't know if y'all are so obtuse on purpose. Every other day I see some post trying to fan up immigrant hate.
They just want to shut him down because Elon is becoming more and more powerful with every single day. Dems don’t like that.
People who call themselves “Democrats” don’t like one person becoming too strong. What should they do then, play trumpets everytime he farts? Some of us really don’t appreciate or deserve a democratic world lol
They should diplomatically partnership with him instead.
So what they want him to consider them, interview them and then waste their time because non us citizens can't get security clearance that is required to work on rockets because by law they are military technology
Many jobs at SpaceX do not require clearance.
But sometimes it’s really hard to tell which positions are safe, the line between is blurry. Even a janitor stealthily taking a picture may cause big damage to the company and the country . So the best practice is to hire only citizens.
Spacex does gov related work, should be seen as the same seriousness as military. We’re talking about launching rockets. What’s wrong with only hiring citizens? Should you not take any available precautions to reduce the risk of foreign spies ?
Plenty of people who aren’t citizens work for the military in positions that aren’t national security sensitive. Some of them have even been in combat.
Yes. Depends on the role. Some are sensitive, others can be filled by anyone
He addressed this years ago. He is bound by federal regulations due to the nature of the work. Weird that the US government is basically suing itself. Well, but for the current admin it would be weird, at least.
Plenty of positions at SpaceX don’t require national security clearances. Not all the jobs at SpaceX are actually building rockets.
Is this the position held by the lawsuit?
I know a few on H1B who work at spaceX
Funny how Elon gets sued for only hiring GC/Citizens and Zuck gets sued for prioritizing hiring H-1Bs.
People are stupid.
