Software Engineer salary in India comparable to Amazon
Hello, I am planning to move to India from USA. Looking for suggestions on companies to transfer to. I have been a Software Engineer for 7 years. Total compensation with internal transfer within Amazon might be around 50 lakhs. Just curious how much other competing companies like Flipcart in India, specifically in Hyderabad are paying for SDEs with 7-8 years experience.
I don't think flipkart has an engineering office in hyd.
I looked up their offices right before seeing this and you’re right. I’d then be looking for other companies in HYD, but still curious how much Flipcart pays.
For sde 2 it is about 30-35L, not sure about sde 3 and 4(their titles are inflated). Google, apple, msft, uber and Salesforce are in hyd and they pay more for equivalent yoe.
You can try for engineering positions in tower research, graviton etc. Will be close to 1 crore. I know Rubrik, Goldman Sachs , Cohesity in Bangalore pays 50 with like 3-4 yoe, so you would get definitely much better.
There's this other post of a Flipkart engineer (8yoe, 75 lakhs TC) trying to move to the US. You guys should chat up, and tell him grass looks greener etc.

Are you sde2 or sde3? Whats your tc? You can keep your rsus and transfer to India
SDE II at the moment. I understand I can keep my RSUs if I transfer internally but they will be paid out in 2 years. I am exploring options at the moment.
