In a debacle on which one I should take and would love your feedback. Yahoo: - Base: 175k - Yearly Guaranteed Cash Incentive: 12.5k - Bonus: 15% - Stock: They offer a management equity plan with no details, aka they won't tell you how much you will get in stock. I will assume it's $0. - Signing Bonus: 15k Yahoo TC: 214k + Possible Stock Fivetran: - Base: 160k - Stock: 40k Fivetran TC: 200k ---------------------------- Yahoo Pros: Good WLB, Fully Remote (important to me), Possible Additional Stock, Big Name on Resume Yahoo Cons: Dying (ish) industry, seems a little old school, company gets sold every year Fivetran Pros: Company can grow a ton and stock can be worth a lot, I will learn more Fivetran Cons: Not profitable yet, stock not liquid yet (they didn't IPO) ---------------------------- Here is all the information I have on Yahoo's Management Equity Plan: Subject to the approval of the Yahoo Board of Directors, you will be eligible for a grant under the Yahoo Management Equity Plan (the "MEP") beginning with the next annual cycle. The MEP consists of an annual Cash MEP portion that vests in four equal installments on the anniversary dates of the grant, along with one or more one-time non-cash award(s) that vest(s) based on the achievement of specified Multiples on Invested Capital ("MOIC") and other terms and conditions. Among other criteria, non-cash awards are not payable unless they reach their applicable performance and/or time thresholds and are not paid until such time as there is a monetization event as defined by the Yahoo Board of Directors. MEP awards are in all events governed by the plans, agreements and notices under which they are issued. More information about your MEP award (including the required award acceptance process, valuation details and other terms and conditions) will be made available to you after your grant approval date.

Thanks! Just added it.
Yahoo is history. Fivetran is future.
what is the level at yahoo? what is the difference between 15% bonus and yrly guraanteed cash incrntive?
Yahoo's MEP are basically options, it's a private company now. Given your bonus, I assume you're L3-5. I was an L5 and my MEP was meh. Ymmv but I wouldn't expect much. @Etsy when yahoo became private they replaced RSU with a mix of options (MEP) and cash. The cash is guaranteed (unlike annual bonus), options will only be worth something when yahoo is sold.
