Software Stack (Facebook)

I think there is a tool that would really help out dev team. My manager won’t take it seriously because apparently it’s a hassle to get software on the approved vendor list at FB. Anyone know what that process looks like? Has anyone assisted with getting a new tool if it will help make our lives significantly easier? Wondering if this is a lost cause or if I should press it.
