So Boeing keeps talking about how they’re testing the new software in simulators and on real flights. Were they actually able to replicate the issue before the patch to make sure they had the correct root cause?
They need to destroy 737 max for good.
Basically corrupt one AOA sensor? Yeah, they can manage that in testing.
Their software is a kludge to fix angle of attack issue caused by bigger engine they introduced. Ideally they should rework their plane body and increase its height from ground. But that requires recertification that they don’t want to do. I’m shocked to see how Boeing and FAA could get away with such a hack, playing with lives of innocent people. Would you ride a MAX plane ✈️ if you know what’s the software hack they are adding ?
I think they should put the entire software team on the flight for the final test of the software, before it is deployed widely. They can then avoid asking for a “repro” of the issue, and fix the bug(s) “in the field” 😀
