Hey Blind - Was wondering about pay for cleared engineers at SpaceX. Looking to leave MSFT, and SpaceX came on my radar. WLB seems bad, was curious how it is for cleared engineers? My questions: 1. Is there a clearance bonus at SpaceX? 2. What is WLB for cleared engineers? 3. Would clearance bonus be on top of the levels.fyi TC? 4. How is the Redmond location compared to Hawthorne? 5. What level of clearance do they require? 6. How hard is the interview? Thanks TC: 160k YOE: ~3 #tech #aerospace #cleared
How does that work? Do you get a bonus if you have gov clearance ? I thought that’s something companies do for you
At MSFT, if you hold and use a clearance you are get a bonus: percentage of base, depending on clearance level.
Did you do it on your own or as part of your employment elsewhere?
If you really want bad wlb, try picking companies where they pay for the grind. Amazon, tiktok etc.
Knowing which government customers SpaceX works with, I doubt their employees have anything less than TS with SCI caveats.
No pay difference at all, bonus or otherwise. WLB will be equal to non cleared. Interview will be the same as well. I’ve seen people move from and to government programs with no security clearances so I’m not even sure they’re necessary for the typical engineer.
This is incorrect
This is wrong. 15% of base pay raise
You might as well come to Amazon at that point
Are they hiring in govcloud?
Gov cloud is always hiring if you have a ts sci with fsp
