Is it worth the grind? Would you do it again?
You think that is unanimous across the company or team dependent? What org are you in?
This seems like a common perspective among startups when they start to grow large. Of course things will deteriorate a bit with scale and the bar lowers
I cannot imagine doing anything else to be honest. Every single day we’re pushing the envelope forward. I really can’t understate the satisfaction from that.
Average weekly hours?
Eleventy
I would love to do it as an over employment option. They can pay me half the salary. Wouldn't want the job to be the main source of income in case Elon goes crazy again and randomly firing people.
Firings aren’t random, they’re based on performance, unlike at other tech companies
They would find out immediately if you were OE
Not really regretting joining SpaceX, but probably won't do it again
Why not?
Not the same guy but I'd say the same. For me the first couple years were exciting and then it became a job and I got handcuffed. I'm not that pumped anymore and would like to do something new but feel stuck. High quality problem I guess
I boomeranged. So yes I did do it again. Here for a other 5 or 6 years then retiring.
I'll be here until I retire early from stock appreciation, or they fire me. Whichever comes first. Awesome place to work.
$$$*1.4 every year
