SpaceX salaried flexibility

Excited for my new engineering role at SpaceX starting soon! For those at SpaceX in a salary role (e.g. Engineer), what kind of flexibility have you seen or experienced yourself, with either 1. Delayed start to your day (due to morning Dr appt for example), arrive an hour or two later than normal and just work later that day Or 2. Start the day WFH on your computer (due to contractor installing/repairing something at your house and you must be present) and once they're done you head into work? #tech #spacex #flexible

Never had a problem with either of these situations since I have a very understanding lead who doesn’t micromanage us or care too much about being on time to work

For reference I straight up just teams my lead a message such as “running a lil late today, have to stop by the post office” and I’ve let her know a day in advance that id be receiving furniture and would have to come in a little later than usual

Wow. If you have to ask this you probably should ask if it’s the right place for you.

I mean if it's not allowed then it's not allowed, I'll be fine. Just need to schedule things outside of work hours. Who the f*** would make this a deal breaker if they really wanna work somewhere? Lol

Getting tired of the non-spacex employee responses on this app *eyeroll*

No issues with things mentioned, all depends on your lead

SpaceX earthman Nov 11, 2022

Neither of these are an issue whatsoever.

I have a special needs kid and have to come in late regularly with zero issues. Just get your work done and be a team player.

won’t have a problem
