Damn it’s been about two years of constant layoffs. When will it end?
This was predictable. Whenever you're the company being bought you should worry..
Where is the post from that guy congratulating Splunk employees on the acquisition? Shows the extreme shortsightedness of a lot of the advice given on this app lmao Edit: Check out this post! "Splunk engineer becoming millionaires paid by Cisco, so lucky guys” https://www.teamblind.com/us/s/xFZYYC1U
Relax buddy, a cut of only 7% is pretty much a miracle in an acquisition like this.
Bruh not every company cuts 25% of their staff I don’t want anyone to lose their jobs. I just wanted to draw attention to a large volume of blinders who claim to be super smart while making batsht insane conclusions
Isn't this something that you should instead be doing after the deal closes? So that Cisco gets a say in which employees to retain and which ones to lay off, eliminating redundancy and keeping the ones they want to keep? And if you say Cisco may already have had an influence here, what if the deal falls through at the last minute? Where does that leave Splunk?
They still have investors to make happy. There will be a huge cut when Cisco takes over.
