In terms of culture, compensation, job security, etc.. which one is better? I hear some mixed review about CoStar Group's culture and also the role is hybrid with 3 days in office. Splunk is remote, and what I hear about their culture reminds me a lot of VMware before Broadcom acquisition. Ironically, Splunk was also recently acquired by Cisco and I hear similar anxieties and uncertainties as VMwareans have gone through.
Costar group in dc or San Diego?
I work at Cisco and it’s named best place to work multiple years in a row for a reason. I was part of a company they acquired several years ago and had similar anxieties and now love it and never want to leave.
If you don’t love money or want to make it big, Cisco is the place. If you have 1% ambition, you won’t stay at Cisco.
Offers? TC? YoE?
What role?
One of my friends work at co star. Worst place to work for below reasons You are expected to be at office for 8.5 hours at-least and expected to reach office before 9 am If you are not working from office on the day ceo visits office , you might be fired Managers are not technically strong, you might have already noticed that during interview process You will be expected to work even on weekends if situation demands Compensation increase is regular but the average is 2.5% Career progression is very slow, people with 15 yrs of experience are software engineer. Poor work life balance, no flexible vacation policy Try reaching out to employees in LinkedIn and get their feedback.
Thank you. This is exactly the type of insights I was looking for
Most of this is not true.
Don’t know much about costar but Splunk sucks
