Spotify Filling Recruiting Targets

Went through steps of the interview process with positive feedback. Next day I asked about the application's status as I had a competing offer. The recruiter said that the team leads had no “spot” for me and they would to look at other teams. Later received an email saying that there was no longer a role available.
