Hello All, Wanted to get a comparison between two of the full time offers that I have as a fresher SDE. The comparison is between Sprinklr Gurgaon and Amazon Bangalore. Sprinklr: Compensation: 30,00,000L(INR) (all fixed/base) Role: Back end Product Engineer Location: Gurgaon Amazon: Compensation total: 31,97,000L(INR) Compensation splitup: Base: 14,50,000L 1st year sign on: 3,60,000L 2nd year sign on: 2,25,000L RSUs vested over 4 years: 11,62,000L (Spiltup up over the 4 years, 5%, 15%, 40%, 40% for years 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively) Role: Software Development Engineer Location: Bangalore. I would greatly appreciate if anyone would explain the reasons behind any of their suggestions in the comments. OP always compare per year comp. Sprinkler is 30 and Amazon is 18.5. WLB in both is not great, so go with the 💰
OP you won't be getting 5% shares in first year at amazon. First year TC will be: 14.5 + 3.6

Yes, you won't be getting anything in 1st year as they cannot give less than 1 share

Sprinklr is heavily toxic, they will abuse you so much that it takes few years to come out of it even after leaving them. There is a reason they are paying 30 lpa base. No free lunch. Everyone is so full of themselves and arrogant and will make your life hell, as they encourage dog eat dog culture. Everyone is busy playing blame games on each other. They always look for the weak to throw them under the bus to cover their mistakes. Prepare to work 18 hours all 7 days of the week including public holidays in a highly stressful environment. Don't expect any great work there, it's all busy garbage fire fighting work as they don't have quality engineering practices. Also remember, even if you do all this work, they won't recognize it and can still fire you. They don't have proper practice to track your work. If you don't constantly market yourself to your leads, you will be fired as they don't know what you are doing.
I have heard that there was this guy in sprinklr who was not getting assigned any tasks and was fired in first year due to low rating.
Amazon comp is not 31. It's around ~18.5.(14.5+ 3.6+0.5) . Now you should be able to decide 😊
Yes, I get your point. But this is generally what all big tech companies do in their CTC. Hence, I posted the CTC as they say along with the compensation split up
Nobody cares about ctc. I don't remember any recruiter telling me my ctc would be x amount. what actually is this CTC btw? This ain't the total cost over 4 years. Why ctc will include base pay+bonus of 1st year but stocks of 4 years?
