Hello, can you please tell me what would be the difficulty of the sql test for the product strategy and operations lead role at Google. Tc-$160k #Google #sqlinterview
Data analyst
It will be easy. I interviewed for a similar role - not the same. It was very easy. Just practice easy-mediun LC questions.
Thank you! Can I dm you? I have some questions about possible rounds
My question was to gauge the difficulty level
It depends-- I normally fly through SQL quizzes but the Google one for product analytics actually had some tough pieces relative to the typical ones (stuff like cumulative multiplication)
YOE?
4
What team is it with? Google cloud?
They did not reveal the team
Any DBA related questions?
No

Thanks!
SELECT * FROM INTERVIEW_SOLUTIONS_TABLE WHERE QUESTION_SUBJECT = 'SQL'

INTERVIEW_SOLUTIONS_TABLE has 30000 rows. This query returns 5 rows. What’s your next query?
It’s mostly leetcode and hacker rank easy. Practice both writing code and explaining what code you’d write with words.
Can you please guide on what prep to do on the case study, behavioral type questions?
Case study will depend on the type of role. For data science questions correct YouTube channels ‘data interview’ and ‘data interview pro’ not sure about your role, might be more like McKinsey stuff, I’m Rusty there. Behavioral questions- for every point on your resume write out who/what/when/where/why/how/how much/lessons learned in bullets. Then practice going through each story and speaking to it. After that just cram a list of 50 common behavioral questions. Maybe mix in some Amazon leadership principles since those are trendy these days. Fwiw I interviewed at google almost 4 years ago so I could be rusty.
Finding max from table, when there are more than 1 max values. You can go through self joins & cross joins
What's your current role?
