Hello, I’d be curious to hear from employees at Square what the point of sale or developer platform teams are like? The company in general seem to be well liked, but it’s my understanding some teams/areas of the company aren’t that great?

Developer platform team is generally well liked and has high visibility in the company. It's kind of like a start-up and has had high growth in terms of head count recently. Dev platform tasks are a little less defined and more exploratory due to the work they're doing ATM. It's a lot of important work though. They're also helping lead changes to the code bases in a much larger sense. Point of sale team is the bread and butter of the company. Without them, the company doesn't exist. There are very talented engineers working on the PoS teams. They have to tackle insanely weird bugs that live deep in iOS and Android OSes.
