Hi guys, I have upcoming interviews with Square, Apple and FB (IC 5 or 6). Does anyone have tips on how to best prepare? I always hear that people prepare for 6 months for the FB case study interview and still fail - I have about 2 weeks and a demanding full-time job. I’m starting to be really worried (I think if I fail, I’d have to wait another year?) How is is handled at Square? Thanks so much for your help :)

Real talk: in what way private schools are better than public in nyc?
I did FB about 3 months ago. Was peppered with questions non-stop by a fast talking interviewer. Questions were legit, but he talked so fast that it made the interview feel awkward and forced. Overall prompt was around how you would understand your product vs competitor. For most of these, just know method limits cold. Also, know best method for constraints such as time, money, or headcount.
Thanks, I appreciate the insight. What I'm curious about - is it like a two-sided, collaborative conversation where you ask lots of clarifying questions, or you're really just being bombarded? I don't like this format since it doesn't really reflect work in real life -.-
I think this is like any interview. You're supposed to ask questions and ID assumptions in a conversational manner, but the quality of discussion depends on the mood of interviewer. I sensed my interviewer just wanted to do a very thorough technical/functional analysis in a short period of time. It was for a new B2B product and so I knew it was going to be tough. Had some elements of conversation, but mostly just getting peppered non-stop. He made it tricky by giving me a 2 product evaluation with multiple segments. Write this stuff down otherwise you will forget a detail and they easily detect the discrepancy.
