I am evaluating an offer from Square for L5 SWE for 330K with split as Base - 180K RSU - 600K over 4 years Sign-on - 10K Current TC - 322K YOE - 7 What do you folks think? Especially the ones at Square. I was told there no more room for the offer to go up. I am positive about square's growth in the upcoming future and roadmap, but I would also like to take into account its current valuation which is already at ~105B. Is this a good time to join? I also have a couple of late stage pre-ipo companies scheduled to interview with, but I would not be able to complete them within square's offer deadline.
YOE?

Insta accept. Great culture and company and mission and wlb. Squares only con is low pay and that offer is pretty good
what do you mean by "low lag" ?
Meant low pay. I’ve seen some low square offers. But your offer isn’t too bad for senior SWE.
Curious what other startups you still have interviews pending. Accept SQ and delay joining and keep interviewing with these startups.
robinhood, confluent, plaid, scale.
You can probably go higher if you interview well and negotiate well. Isn’t there some new rule with square that makes these RSUs shittier too? Like limiting the upside?
Do you mean higher with other companies? have already tried to push sq to move up. I haven't been informed about any new rule about RSU. I can double check.
@foony I think you are confusing stripe with square
I think that's a pretty solid offer. Square is a really great company to work for. As for whether it's a good time to join, I don't see any reason why Square couldn't continue to shoot for the moon. Lots of good stuff coming in 2021 and beyond.
Does square have policy like pip ...etc, how is performance review done at square?
SF
That’s a really high L5 offer
That's a really high offer
Question for everyone here... what late-stage pre-ipo companies would be worth joining over Square?
