I completed the on-site more than 2 weeks ago. Recruiter said she’ll get back to me by the end of the same week. No word after that. Completely ghosted and no responses to emails. I had aced all the rounds. I reached out to a few other recruiters on LinkedIn and asked them to provide visibility. Next day - rejection email. I pushed too many buttons I guess. Cmon square - I had heard better! #tech #square
If you aced all the rounds, they wouldn't have ghosted you. Unless your recruiter died.
Rip in piece recruiter
I was told on the day of my on-site that the HM I spoke with had already filled the spot. So they’re trying to team match again. Reading other posts looks like many others are stuck on the same boat.
It happens to the best of us. It sucks, but just know you’re not alone.
How can you even know if you aced all the interviews tho
You know if you do well In interviews. Every interview I felt I crushed it, I got an offer.
I guess there are just too many candidates interviewing for the same position. So, even when you pass the interviews, the hiring manager is taking the look at the resumes and taking the best candidate out of candidates who have passed the interviews. Less jobs and more candidates.
Lmao. Why would someone want to join Square?
Why not?
What’s Medtronic?
@RsuVester what type of questions were asked during onsite?
This is more of a bad recruiter than a bad company.
I’m at Square right now. We’re still hiring but headcount is flat. Open position are EXTREMELY competitive right now especially for some role types; FE or FS FE leaning is basically non existent. Even if you pass the recruiter might see it as a lost cause as there’s 9 candidates ahead of you or that aced the interview. Not to mention pretty sure we’re trying to pick up Tweeps atm. This is pretty much happening everywhere.
Just means that you didn’t “ace all rounds”, at least not as much as other candidates being considered.
You’ll get the next one. Forget the crappy recruiters. They are but potholes on the road to success.
