Hi everyone, I have an onsite with square coming up. I wanted to know what to expect in pair programming rounds? Is it mostly OOP if so any examples or is it LC questions or mix of both? For architecture round read some posts mentioning that you can ask recruiter upfront about question is that right? Would appreciate some insights into square interview Interviewing for L5 Current TC 240k
About question - it will be problem solving which will start easy and get increasingly difficult. They just build on the same question.
How many coding rounds did you have for the virtual onsite?
The onsite can be a mixture of different types of questions, depending on which interviewers you end up with. Some recruiters tell you what the system design question will be, and that seems to be common practice. Working through the square-tagged questions on Leetcode may help. Some interviewer questions require OOP-type skills in addition to general problem solving skills. Interviewers seem to be mostly interested in seeing correct code that compiles, rather than algorithmically optimal solutions. Definitely pay attention to writing clean code that you can easily extend for additional functionality, as questions tend to build on one another. As several posts on Blind have mentioned, be prepared for Leetcode questions. However, Leetcode skills alone may not be sufficient.
OP how was your experience?
