TC?

Indeed notdeko Jan 31, 2021

Job security and wlb I would say, rest all of course square

Indeed indood Jan 31, 2021

According to blind pulse, square pretty much meets or beats indeed in every single area. I don’t think job security is a problem for people at Square. Fin tech is doing better than ever before. Look at Square stock and compare that with Recruit.

Indeed notdeko Jan 31, 2021

Of course with low RSU grants, the pulse score will still go down

Square IwTu60 Jan 31, 2021

Yea I don’t really know much about Indeed so can’t comment, but we’re not really hurting here for security or wlb.

Square zGWD88 Jan 31, 2021

Coming up on 3 years, don’t plan on leaving anytime soon

Indeed gusgus567 Feb 1, 2021

Indeed’s pay is bad and there isn’t much room for growth in terms of skill. Square has a way better product too

Indeed gnrna Feb 2, 2021

Square all the way. Square is one of the few companies I would move to.

Indeed indeedy Feb 5, 2021

square >>> indeed

Indeed HTVE21 Feb 7, 2021

Taking square offer is a no brainer

Indeed austin123 Feb 7, 2021

Does square offer consistent refreshers ? Indeed has been grating LTIPs consistently for past few years and now I think RSU grants will also be yearly per level/location.

Square IwTu60 Feb 17, 2021

Yearly refreshers, yes

Indeed aus_aus Feb 17, 2021

Nice. Does everyone get refreshers ? What is the range of refreshers for engineering L4/L5 in Seattle/Bay ?

Indeed corpolitic Feb 17, 2021

Indeed is a joke. Square still has room for growth, Indeed hasn't done squat in ages.

Indeed ideed Feb 21, 2021

Why do you shit Indeed on every post?

Indeed corpolitic Feb 22, 2021

Because Indeed genuinely has a culture that is leading the company to go nowhere beyond where it already is. Outside of the internal mental masturbation that goes on, what do people see from outside the company? Just a job search engine website where most people have zero reason to create an account. This has been true forever and the backwards culture is why. An internal Indeed Blind thread says one of our greatest accomplishments of 2020 is updating our job apply flow. We're a nearly 10,000 person company and that is considered a monumental achievement. That's how pervasive the culture has brainwashed people into thinking small iterative changes are impactful. After over 15 years of existing and hiring of 10,000 people, we don't even have a competent mobile app and have barely started switching to a cloud based infrastructure. These are the types of things even a mediocre company would have done sometime between 2008-2016. We're still struggling to even get to a foundation of these things in 2021. It's not like I shit on everything about Indeed. The social culture is decent and the Super Bowl ad gaffe that our internal Blind people want to criticize isn't even bad. But as a tech first company, Indeed's tech (engineering, product, UX) and work culture are even worse than some older companies where tech is only a secondary part of the business (like Walmart, Target, Nordstrom). Indeed may have been better off outsourcing tech to development firms than hiring tons of people to put it into the sorry state that it is now. That many people think the status quo is on track for innovation or any further success than milking the search engine really demonstrates how disconnected from reality the company is.
