The offer will be less than your current TC. Even if Amazon offers you 300k, is it still worth the move? Consider all the Microsoft benefits you're leaving behind. Someone on Blind said it adds up to 30k - medical, 401k, etc.
Fair point; most people don’t bother looking into the actual monetary value of incidental benefits and they can add up. If moving for an intangible reason (esp. I’d consider lateral comp) it behooves you to consider comp including overall benefits in the final picture just as much as the intangibles.
Also, don't forget 6 lesser holidays and I think 6 or so lesser sick leaves. And... having to commute to shitty place called downtown Seattle
