So, India's security intelligence service provided information to Sri Lanka warning of these attacks, and Sri Lanka knew the names and addresses of the suspects, that they had a stockpile of bomb making equipment, that they were planning to attack Christians and foreigners, roughly when this attack would be, and.... ... did nothing. Because? Apparently because the people who did know were tasked with protecting VIP's in Sri Lanka and didn't think it was their job to do anything about it and didn't share it with the people who's job it was. At least that's my reading of the news today. Updated with link: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/22/world/asia/ntj-warning-sri-lanka-government.html
Got a source? I didnāt read anywhere about Indian intelligence being involved. Bloomberg article says the source was head of local muslim community
Updated OP with a link "As early as April 4, the Indians provided the Sri Lankans with cellphone numbers and information about Mr. Zaharan and his lieutenants who they said were planning suicide attacks on Catholic churches and the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka, several Sri Lankan and Indian officials said. The Sri Lankan security services then ran down addresses and put several members of the group under close surveillance. The April 11 memo included precise information, such as the observation that Mr. Zaharanās brother, an avid recruiter for the group, āvisits his wife and children in the nights (2300hrs -0400hrs)ā and it listed an exact address, down to a house number and cross street. But with Sri Lankaās president and prime minister feuding for months, leading to a political breakdown last year, it seems that the president excluded the prime minister from top security briefings and that the prime ministerās office had no inkling of the warnings of imminent suicide attacks."
India provided Sri Lanka Intel on attack in Sri Lanka and we couldn't get any Intel on our own Phulwama attack. Irony isn't it?
No. There's no irony here.
There's no irony here. Intel is dependent on lots of variables working in your favor and that won't happen everytime
And a quick Google search shows US authorities warned India about Mumbai attacks. By the logic of the title of your post, what does this say about India? š
Congress' Hindu terrorism agenda.
For the record I'm not Indian, the article I now linked in post 1 simply says it was India that warned Sri Lanka
US government knew about 9/11 and failed to act...
Hitler did 9/11 āļøš¢š¢
I knew I would get CME but dint act.
AP, AFP and Reuters went out of their way in their articles to say the attack was against tourists once it was out who the perpetrators were. Up until then they had no problems mentioning several times over that the Buddhists had caused problems earlier to Christians. They still mention it in some of their articles.
Yes stop blaming the extremists Itās Sri Lankaās own fault What a humongous dumbass
Wtf! Not blame extrmeists???
Itās called being sarcastic
You flagged that comment? Hilarious what a joke.
