it is posts like these that make me think sometimes our indian community may be detached from reality.. WITCH may be providing the manpower to dig gold but US companies are the actual ones selling us the shovels.. indians are not the shovels.. just the manpower.
It's a 2 Billion AI spend..Infosys obviously is only going to make a tiny % from it. It's a known thing when AI gets to enterprise adoption, it's going to be these tech consultants building it for them. Article just looks to be an exaggeration!!
Shovel makers will need much longer to turn profitable and that is contingent on the fact that enough customers start using AI. Infosys makes profit from day 1 of billing. It's $2 billion signed with Infosys.

Well if ai can replace infosys it can also replace amazon sde’s. I guess we are exaggerating things here. We are yet to see what AI can do to the world. Most are just speculations. My father in early 90s was forced to protest against govt move to computerize some of the bank operations. The crowd was afraid of losing jobs. I guess some jobs were replaced but overall the banking sector only grew. Late 2000s when smart phones, tablets and mobile apps were introduced to the world, people were predicting slow death of laptops which I am yet to witness. Google glass formed a similar opinion amongst people. I guess we’ll have to wait for another 5 years to evaluate what AI really did. We can say one thing for sure. Witch will survive and may even thrive. Ofc they will not come up with some new tech. They are meant to adopt whatever is developed and provide services.
For what I have seen from the average Joe with a mustache, they can barely use git. Good luck to them.

"WITCH is beating Google/Microsoft in monetizing AI" - Bud, guess what platforms these firms will use to integrate AI for their clients ? These deals only add fuel to the fire by rapdily increasing demand for AI, ultimately benefiting the GCPs /Azures of the world.
Yes Azure/gcp will provide the platform but their break even cost is much higher and they will need a lot of clients to use it before turning profitable. Clients will pay the platform bill. Infosys and likes will make money with zero investment. Their only investment is to have some "certified" AI experts
