Laundry additives
Besides detergent, there are all sorts of products like bleach, oxi clean, optical whiteners, Shout color catcher, fabric softener, on and on. I have used only detergent for years with no issues. Are the other products frivolous?
Chlorine is a known disinfectant. When the US withdrew all US citizens from China , they disinfected them with Chlorine. You can add Chlorine to disinfect your clothes

I use Color Catchers, Oxi Clean, and bleach pods. The sheets do ‘catch’ colors, so I guess they work? I add Oxi Clean & Clorox Bleach Pods for towels, and vinegar for my BF’s gym clothes. Possibly frivolous, but makes me feel better. I don’t do fabric softener or dryer sheets.
