Joined a small company leaving Medtronic and I regret the decision. Hating the work culture and processes in place. I was promised for many things and none seems to be right here. No one open to new things, every thing is sloppy and no one cares about continuous improvement or any change. What should I do ? #culture #officelife #workplace
"Promised many things" And you got all of it in writing, right? Surely you didn't blindly believe the recruiter.
Unfortunately there was a re org and most of them left the company including my hiring manager.
Ooooooooooooof.
How long have you been at the new place? Do you want to stay and try to make it better? Can you go back to Medtronic? Do you have a lot of job changes in the resume? If not, and you have a solid work background, it would be ok to have something on your resume for less than a year. Try to stick it out for at least a year?
For 4 months. I am on a work visa sponsorship which is making the move difficult. I have stayed with previous company for 7 years.
Ranting in blind is a good first step. What are your options at this point?
Name of new company? Still in medical device manufacturing?
Put yourself in a position to learn skills that will be in line for the next job you want in 1-2 years. If you have time maybe see if you can work on the side as a contractor. Small companies often mean it’s easier to move around - maybe a different role will suite better?
