Heard that non-tech IT jobs are the most stable. Do you think IT jobs in Finance are the most stable out of all the non-tech industries since they earn the most money?
Finance firms blow up all the time. Things may feel stable when the markets are in your favor, but all bets are off when things turn around. Working for a boutique mutual fund or hedge fund can be great, but there's always an undercurrent of risk that the whole thing will implode.
Which is ironic as they are also the most useless.
Grass is greener on other side .

every IT guy in finance is either AVP, VP or Director 😀 . Even though they don’t have much experience.
