99 percent of google products fail
Look at it this way : Let’s say only 1% of Googler initiatives find success at Google scale. What % of non Googler initiatives do you think succeed at Google scale? I would think atleast an order of magnitude lower.
Meta, Apple, and Amazon are all Google scale. They don’t fail 99% of the time
It was dead on arrival tbh. I bet some people liked it but most people had no use or want for it.
Marketing was started on the run foot. It’s not a “cloud gaming platform” it’s a console and should be treated that way. Stadia was the best closed gaming solution, sad to see it gone.
Not surprised.
Sad cuz I was one of 5 people who used it and I like it. Not practical though from a cost perspective for them.
This was obviously going to a failure, any gamer could see this from a mile away. Honestly, it’s not even the first time cloud gaming had popped up, there was more than enough evidence that customers are not interested in this.
It’s has been dead for sometime now. Without a good catalogue of games why would someone buy Stadia?
how many people work in stadia team
I forgot this existed
Whats happening to the team/employees?
I think the stadia team was already rebranded to enterprise streaming internally. So if I have to guess, it will keep on living I guess.
Sounds like most got reorged into other teams
I had no idea this was still a thing.
