I’m expecting to get into the negotiation phase for a Staff PM role in the Bay Area at @walmart #walmart. Range online says 143-286k, but recruiter initially said the team was more like 160-180k. It’s a level G (?) role. Any tips on if 180k is the top of the band for this level? Current tc: 190
Is 180 just the base?
Yup, just base. They also offer bonus and a good amount of stock that vests over three years, but the base is what I’m curious about
What’s the stock they’re offering?
You can generally expect good bonus (think i heard around 20% still common) + the stock is stable compared to a lot of tech… but that sounds low for staff pm Id push for more, i know regular pms who have gotten offers like that at walmart.
Level G includes Staff and GPM. Its not called Sr. Manager. If u were slotted as Staff expect a max of 190 base.
What's the difference between Sr. manager compared to Staff and GPM and how does that impact comp (if at all)?
It is the same level, % bonus and rsu grant each year. The difference will be in the base of the starting offer, and potentially more willingness to negotiate for a sign on or new hire rsu.

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
that sounds extremely low esp in SF. understand the market is bad and etc but still that does look low
