Do stand ups every day annoy anyone else? I feel like it’s too much status giving and leads to micromanagement at least in my company.
Agree it can feel so repetitive especially now that we’ve been in quarantine for so long and progress on work can be slower than usual. You should feel comfortable asking your team if they’d be open to switching things up
Daily is too frequent and usually indicates a lead that wants to peer pressure the team to work harder by micromanaging. We had a guy that was really up his own ass about the "fundamentals of agile". It made the team worse.
Those are the worst guys
How frequently do you have it now? Once a week?
We started having no meeting fridays, but we have a “slackstandup”
Daily stand-up is a couple of teammates only human interaction for the whole day
quit
It’s fundamental to scrum. They should only be 15 min long and answer three questions: what did you do yesterday? What are you doing today? And what is blocking you? Anything else and it’s not a stand up.
