Very interested in getting a Masters in ‘management sciences and engineering’ from Stanford. This program has a lot of over lap with the MBA program I believe but less baggage. Really mostly interested in the network and credentials it adds to my resume. What do y’all think??
Yeah just do MBA, the connections you want are probably MBA anyway while most of the connections you already have or could get are in MSE
What do you mean by connections?
Skip the MS&E masters. Go for the MBA 💯
Honestly, I’ve heard it’s a resume pad for people who couldn’t get into the MBA
Was considering this as a part-time/exec MBA replacement since my job is too lucrative (TC:400k+) to leave and I like the stanford campus more than most exec MBA programs.
What’s your role at Amazon, echosmith?
competitive to get in and overpriced. looked down upon within and outside the school. seen as a Mini MBA and a Mini Eng degree.
How do you know this? Admission is extremely competitive.
because i went to LSJU. look at my post, i said it was competitive. not respected in the school however. especially relative to other eng majors like EE, CS, MechE, or MBAs.
Yup MBA that birch It's Stanford
Gonna post this again because it got censored: It is neither a good management degree nor a good technical degree. Just get and MBA or MSCS, or both.
How did it get censored??? What did you say ??
Dunno, maybe some Stanford alums getting sensitive 🤷🏻♂️
