Just wondering who decided to start putting Starbucks' inside of Target? Seems like a great idea but wondering what metrics they used? What data was available to drive this decision? ๐ค #misc #question #marketing #starbucks #target #anyideas
No bagels for the stores in target though. That makes no sense ๐ก
I know a lot of people who go to target specifically for Starbucks. You can grab a coffee and walk around. Down side is, sometimes, it takes 40+ mins to get a coffee cause of the line.
That. Moreover, supermarkets have parking already. Would instead consider: why not put a Starbucks inside the services area of a supermarket? You have all those customers passing byโฆ
Itโs about demographics, the demographics of a target shopper is pretty much the same as a starbucks shopper. Someone going to Walmart or Publix or shoprite isnโt someone who is going to buy/afford Starbucks on the whim like a target shopper
Theyโve been doing this for at least 10 years. Texas has had it for a while
Easy.. look at their target (and actual) audience. Basic white girls. You can see all over social media that they go to target for fun without any actual need. From this itโs pretty easy to see that adding their other favorite location in store goes hand in hand
It is a licensed model, targeted for similar demographics.
These arenโt Starbucks owned stores. They are licensed.
These are in Safeways, Walmarts etc. whatโs new?
