Starbucks: does this make sense?
So I live near Starbucks and I usually place the order on the app to prevent me from having to pull out my wallet, and just grab the drink and go I did it when I parked in the line and place the order two cars in front of me When I got to the speaker they said that next time I should place the order 10 or more minutes in advance because now it would take longer That is a second Starbucks that has told me that. What doesn’t make sense is how would it take longer. would’ve been the same amount of time if I just told him at the window. At least I gave him two minutes in advance.
Idk man it’s still too small of a sample size to deduce a pattern. Maybe you should try a few more Starbucks locations to confirm.

Orders received online may have separate queue.
A lot of people order online now, you might be dealing with a longer queue. Suggest you place the order before leaving the house. Baristas are not the fastest and most efficient workers tbh
Online orders go into a separate queue. If you're going to place a mobile order more and be at the drive thru order point in the next five minutes, you're better off placing the order at the speaker.
