I have a a new grad offer from State Farm for $80k base for a Software Developer position. What can I expect with regards to promotions? Is there a certain percentage (i.e. 10%) I will be bumped up? And will it be every six months or a year?

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
Promo really depends on how you work and your manager’s view of you. I think it can occur at any point in time (did for me) but official performance reviews are done yearly. I’m guessing you’re entering as an RE2. What location? I know a few people who were promoted to RE3 within a year of entering and because the 10% standard increase wasn’t at bottom of the RE3 salary range, got bumped up nearly 6 figures for an almost 25% increase. Lmk if you got any other questions.
