You’ll be E6 with 4.5 yoe ?

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 20, 2021

Realistically yes, I do well in my orgs domain

Salesforce badboi6 Sep 20, 2021

Any tips ? I am joining FB as E5 soon

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 20, 2021

Honestly leaning closest to doordash, but their stock has a ton of growth prices in. Are things good at DD?

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 20, 2021

Can people answer why too lol?

Datadog babadrame Sep 20, 2021

Why not just move after getting to E6?

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 20, 2021

I could, but trying to feel out other companies first too

I recently got an E4 offer from FB and have some questions. Can I DM you?

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 21, 2021

Sure

Google NewL5 Sep 20, 2021

Not enough details Are you eng? Have are you including expected refreshers in your projections?

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 20, 2021

Eng, but yes, refreshers at FB will be higher (RE + GE last two halves)

I moved to finance from FANG and have been pretty happy. DM if you have questions.

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 21, 2021

Thanks! I think main thing I’ve heard is about WLB at Citadel being kinda meh

Two Sigma sigzz Sep 21, 2021

I'd say WLB is going to be very team dependent in general. It's important to talk to multiple people on the team to get a sense of culture and hours.

How was the interview at DD?

Facebook WCxa82 OP Sep 21, 2021

Pretty standard format, sys design, behavioral, 2 coding. One coding was an LC hard though which was rather annoying but overall fine

Bank of America kobe(._. ) Sep 21, 2021

How many coding questions per round ? Is it 2 mediums or 1 easy 1 medium or 1 hard ?

Facebook jm813 Sep 21, 2021

imo if you can get to E6 at FB, I'd stay. it sounds like you have a niche in your org/are good at delivering according to your org's values, which I think is invaluable. idk why the 2nd most popular answer in the poll is currently Google; Google's comp will not be as good, and career growth is *much* slower than at FB. I would say pocket the career growth that you p much already have in the bag (getting to E6), then consider jumping, bc those offers will take E6 into account

Facebook techtpm Sep 23, 2021

This is my thinking exactly. Grass is not always greener and those comp numbers are pretty much the same or even lower than your current comp. plus I think your trajectory will be much lower at all those places.

Are you phd?
