Didn’t get enough responses for the last post so trying it one more time. Currently IC5 in the self-driving cars team working on CV/AI algorithmic stuff, in the Santa Clara office. I have an E5 offer (195 base/600k rsus over 4 years/75 signon) from Facebook (AR/VR) in their Seattle office. The TC difference, including the cost of living difference that i was able to research, is about 35% (FB paying more). What should I do?
Tax rate should make up for it
Not sure if I understand your comment
Sorry I thought you were saying you were taking a 35% drop.
Hw or sw?
Sw
This is easily a 50% jump if you factor in tax and living costs....
35% estimate roughly includes COL difference that I researched by talking to friends in the Seattle .
My bad I should’ve read more carefully.
why even think. just go for it.
If you’re cool with the weather, sounds good to me OP.
Go with FB. FB has much better offer.
Isn't NV self-driving a dumpster fire? Why is this a question?
What made you think so?
Because I used to work there 😂
Buy life insurance if you work at FB. Your family is axtually gonna need it
Ok 😊
Dude it’s the Reality Labs. It’ll be some really cool shit, trust me. WLB may not be good though.

Can you handle cloudy weather?
Yes. I like it.
I mean you're looking at a 70% TC jump with cost of living baked in
