20% layoffs at Masterclass. Stay at home companies are definitely going under. It all started with Netflix. https://www.linkedin.com/news/story/masterclass-lays-off-20-of-staff-5370684
It’s not about WFH it’s about business fundamentals
Not necessarily. Many of these companies took the advantage stay at home trend and couldn't keep up with the innovation engine.
Ok HR manager we got it
Google advocating for hybrid via blind post? Must be PeopleOps
Has nothing to do with WFH lmao
What’s your agenda OP?
Just saying the obvious. The stay at home trend is done.
If there is anything we have learnt in the last 2 years is that nothing is obvious. You think you know something and there is a trend and boom your theory goes out of the window. With respect to layoffs - it’s really due to over valuation, over hiring and strategic mistakes made by the leadership IMHO. Nothing to do with stay at home. Remote has always been there and will never go away.
It’s not that WFH leads to a company’s demise. These were all companies that grew a lot during the pandemic, took in exorbitant funding as well as debt at little to no interest, and then overhired with the assumption that consumer behavior would stay at an all time high past lockdowns.
OP has an agenda. This has nothing to do with WFH. Keep being jealous while you take the train to the office.
Hahaha. I take GBus once a week to work. I go there to pick up free food. Not bananas.
Yeah and I enjoy working from my home and not commute to the office like a 🐑 for shitty food 😂
