Have a full time position at LiveNation but interviewing for a contract to hire position at Walt Disney. Is it worth going from FT to contract to hire?
We've had a lot of contract to hire positions on my team and while they hope to become FT eventually, we just don't have headcount to bring them on FT. I've seen so many people get disappointed because they were hoping for it. Make sure it's realistic and hiring manager isn't using it as a dangling carrot.
Take contract to hire if you think you're a superstar. Take permanent job if you're not
Some contracts can pay huggggeeeeee.
I would say no, in my dept, they dont hire out the contracts and they dont extend. you have to apply when a position opens just like an outsider.. also, contractors working at disney do not get any disney benefits or park access like cast do...
stay where you're at and keep monitoring their job site for an actual non-contract opening or direct hire opening
Thanks omegatotal!
Thanks everyone for the insight!
