Hi, I am considerably new to stocks and trading. I bought few stocks of this one company 8 months back on Robinhood and recently another company took it over. I was scrolling through Robinhood portfolio yesterday and the ticker of the company I bought disappeared. I did some research and found out that company is delisted from nasdaq. Is there a way I can still sell the company's shares or is my investment all gone? TC 94k #stocks #delisted #nasdaq
If it is an all cash purchase, you will get money in your account, otherwise, if it is a stock swap, you will get new stock. Talk to your broker.
Sorry broker in this case is Robinhood right?
Yes call them up.
Update: I spoke to Robinhood representative today, he said that since it was an all cash merger I was paid the entire amount and it should be reflecting in my buying power. The September statement should show the exact amount of who much was added to my buying power. Thanks all for your inputs!!
Damn… Enjoy the write off at least.
