I’m interested in comparing various passive investment strategies. Is there a good stock simulator that would simulate the market including dividends so I can test which strategy works best. example of strategy :- I expect BRK to beat SPY and also fall less on the next crash. But it is hard to compare when you also need to consider dividends. So I’d rather buy them in the simulator and compare their performance.
This is not really a simulator, it’s a back test for strategies. Look at ThinkOrSwim from TD Ameritrade. It might have what you need.
Interactive brokers has a programmable api
Alpaca, quantopian, quantconnect
Google sheets has functions to pull stock data
As other people said, it’s not clear what you mean by a “simulator”. If you need to backtest, all of the major brokerages have backtesting feature. Etrade, IB, TDA.
