Stock vesting on last date at Microsoft
I have some stocks vesting on Feb 9th Sunday the last date i am planning to submit in the system. I am going to compete. Does anyone have first hand information on if those stocks will vest? Thanks
It’s ok , as long as you are employed on the last day . Confirm that it’s the vesting day . The rule is that you should be employed on the vesting day, that’s it. I am doing the same , vesting day is last day and mine is Feb 2.

Don’t worry you are fine , just submit your resignation with the vest day as the last day and don’t tell you are going to a competitor . Your boss can cut off your system access immediately , but cannot change the last date .
If the vest is an important one to you, I strongly advise you to wait until after your vest date to give notice. They can end employment in at-will states.
Why take the risk. Wait for another week.
