Every company should rather fire every single intern before laying off a single FTE I noticed such cringe posts during layoff times last year .. “interns didn’t get an offer back 🥺🥺” stfu , why don’t you give them your job. Edit - How is this lack of empathy - we were seeing people with mortgages spouses kids getting laid off left snd right and some one has audacity to cry about interns not getting a job offer or no interns getting hired ?
It's way more damaging to a college student to lose an internship than a seasoned professional. I've been in the industry more than a decade, they fire me, my resume will back me up and get me a new job in short order. Students have no experience, and losing internships further makes it difficult to build that resume in the first place. Also the whole "why don't you fix this massive problem yourself" is a stupid argument. Nobody short of a billionaire can even start to personally solve a problem like this.
It’s not either/or. Everyone is suffering. Don’t pit seasoned professions against young people who are just starting out. We’re all in this together.
This is the right sentiment. Elon literally became the richest person on the planet “but the interns” 🙄🙄
👍
This is weak bait—no one could or should show this lack of empathy. Delete this post and do better.
Imo start with all the H1Bs
False dilemma fallacy. Hire right, stop making people believe layoffs are mandatory or let the people fight over who should be laid off first.
The emoji faces..🤣🤣
Fire the CEO, frees up a lot more money
Agree with op
Intern is pretty cheap. The real money like RSU is at higher level.
Classic tech bro lack of empathy. You sound like fun at the party.
