If I pass my amazon phone interview, How far out can I schedule my onsite? My lease ends 7/14 My interview is 5/23 But my one year at IBM ends a couple days after the lease ends This is important because if leave before hand: A. My referral won't get his bonus B. I will have to pay back my bonus Now while I'm sure amazon could include extra to repay the bonus, would I be better off scheduling my onsite farther down like end of June? It saves them a couple Grand and helps my friend out. Now I know I'm making alot of assumptions here, but amazon isn't the only company I'm interviewing with and the sooner I can switch my lease to month to month the better. I've already given the apartment my 60 day notice of intent to vacate, but I will try for a month to month at the same apartment (instead of moving and paying for moving fees). So how far out can I schedule my interview? And Should I switch to a month to month at the same apartment, If none of these pan out I'm probably going to move to a cheaper apartment closer to work.
if you do well in the interviews and they really want you they would not mind to wait a couple months for you to start. just tell your recruiter that the earliest you could start is X day and i’m sure the recruiter would tell you it’s fine.
Yeah I told her I could start with a month after an offer, but I forgot all about this until recently I'll mention it to her if I pass the phone round.
Just take the interview and then figure it out based on your options
usually you can push out the join date too
I started interviewing with amazon 6 weeks ago. I have an offer and start date second week of July. Working on sept 1st as my start date for similar reasons
How big is this bonus?
Small, like <7K
