I moved to Amazon recently as a Product Manager Technical. I have worked as a Product Manager for an year before this. I feel super stressed every day and I constantly feel pressured. Every morning I wake up with a sense of dread. My manager is a micromanager and wants to know about everything I do. Meetings with stakeholders are the same as well- people seem rude, irrespective of levels. Is this just how PM roles are? Or is this just an Amazon work culture problem? I have 8 years of experience before this and have never felt this kind of pressure/stress. Would love some inputs from Amazonians / PMs
Sounds like a typical day at Amazon. Either suffer or brace this culture.
What org? If AWS then I’m not surprised. Your experience would be different on the retail side.
It's an Amazon work culture problem. No one even spends the time to get to know others.
It could be work culture problem
