Why do Indians support Israel so much( on blind surprisingly) when Israel really thinks 💩of them ?
Hi Wise Blind Folks, I have an upcoming interview with Stripe. There is nothing on LC for Stripe and not much insight on Glassdoor as such. Any folks from Stripe mind sharing how to prepare? Will LC Medium or Hard be a good starting point? I understand the first phone screen interview is a design interview. Any insight about this and their grading criteria would be much appreciated. Thanks so much for your help and time. #interview #stripeinterview #stripe #sse #staff #design
I went through their process. They don't really do leetcode type questions. The coding interviews are more practical. Optimizing your algorithm doesn't matter. Clean, tested code does. Know how to debug an unfamiliar codebase.
Well, that means it's more hands on. Would you know of any website that allows you to do such kind of practice? Pull some unknown codebase and fix bugs. I can only think of some open source projects.
@jSJs14 I know its hard to suggest how to prepare for such an interview but can you give some guidance on what areas one can focus on...Someone from previous post mentioned to focus on remembering the http libraries in your language of choice is there anything you would recommend?
Could you share how you landed the interview? Did someone refer you? Or recruiter contacted you? Been trying but doesn't seem to get noticed.
I applied online through linkedin. I applied at multiple roles. No referral; just online application. I also have payment experience.
That's great! What's the role?
I recently passed and signed offer for eng role. I applied on their website and whole process took about 3weeks. Phone screen was medium LC, one of onsites was also medium LC. Other two was super easy to be honest. Finding bug was easy done I just put prints and located place with error within 10 mins, then I started talked what can be an issue and interviewer gave me couple hints. Integration was also not hard, just day to day work example. I believe their interview much more effective that other companies LC, I also passed them btw.
Which level ?
Hey. Could you put me in touch with the recruiter there?
Has anyone interviewed for Staff engineer for Stripe? I’m looking for some insign into how the first round / phone screen “design” interview will be. DM or reply if you have any info! Thanks! :)
Sign up for whimsical.com and practice using the tool to draw diagrams. It's what they use and it's a great tool, but you should still practice to gain speed.
That’s great, thanks. Any advice on the type of question to expect and what they look for?
They won't ask anything near a LC hard. Problems are easy to medium, but they care a lot about communication, clarity, clean code, test cases, etc.
Much thanks @wise taco. I do have an airbnb onsite coming up as well; can I dm you?
Sure, but Airbnb is a different story. LC hards are not uncommon.
