Was told this offer was top of band, which I find hard to believe. Have bands fallen that much? TC 250 #stripe
Stripe is a company founded by European brothers. That means they don't believe in the concept of sharing wealth with their slaves aka engineers unlike their American counterparts. Pass on because they have piss poor European engineers ready to work for 🥜🥜

Wtf does this even mean?
Don’t leave Amazon unless you get a better offer.
YOE?
US premium top of band for L2 is 250k. L3 300k. I don’t have Canada numbers sorry
Were they recently adjusted? I thought they were higher
Used to. Not in post pandemic world. Same with Lyft and some others.
Do they still do that shitty one year vest thing
Yes.
🤢
Do yourself a favor and do not come here. I say this more strongly atleast if you are comfortable and thriving at Amazon. It was one of the most horrible decisions of my life.
Why and what's your role
Share more pls. Why so bad
I am a current Stripe L2 in Canada. Salary bands have dramatically decreased in the last 6 months. Basically, a L2 hired in 2021/2022 makes as much in RSUs as a newly hired L4. If you joined now, you'd make significantly less than the other L2s. For current L2/L3/L4, they are no financial incentive to try to get promoted right now as the increase in RSUs is non-existent, although the base pay and the performance bonus do increase (substantially for the latter). TC: 176 CAD base + 90k USD in RSU + 20k CAD signon FYI, L2 is non-terminal, you'll have to get promoted to L3 within 36 months or ye fired.
When did you join? How is the pip culture?
90k is the yearly grant. It's yearly grants at Stripe. I joined in 2022. I wouldn't know about the PIP culture other than what is on Blind. Nobody around has been PIPed.
If you knew what the internal Blind at Stripe looks like, you probably would not consider joining there
The internal blind is a sad place. The Blind rating dropped from 4.3 when I applied to 3.6 today. People must hate working with me lmao.
Is there an internal Blind at any company that isn’t sad right now? Honest question. Where are the happy blinders at?
Canadian salaries make me cry
wait till you see Canadian tax and price index

Crossed a line with my boss
210k cad that’s like 30% off
Yeah I thought it would be around 350. Have the bands really fallen that much
I am a current L2 at Stripe hired in 2022. My TC, as per the internal tool to check a breakdown of our TC, will be 330k in 2023. That includes my performance bonus from 2022. This is no longer possible in 2023, but it was 100% the case for 2021/2022.
