Hello - I’m looking for any general guidance on the onsite expectations (how to prepare, what kind of questions to expect), as well as specific answers to the following re: take home challenge: - where should I start? I have no guidance from the recruiter and I haven’t done such a technical challenge for a PM role previously - what are the steps to be followed? - I have no experience with React or API integration. Which courses can I quickly take to get ramped up for this assignment? I have a technical background and am fully capable of grasping the concepts fast. I just need the right resources for this type of an assignment. Lastly, is the onsite going to be primarily based on the assignment and behavioral questions or is the execution session more like Facebook’s execution (metrics based) interview? Please advise! Thanks!#product #productmanager #stripeinterview
It’s amazing you even got the interview from Stripe for a PM role
Ah what makes you say that?
It’s just Stripe is so hot. I know so many people want to join including myself. How did you get their attention?
What is the assignment about?
i’ve seen the prompt for the PM take home. It’s pretty clear.... what are you confused about?
Hey thanks for your response (sorry I saw it late). It’s just strange to me that the expectation is to develop an app when there was no conversation about PM doing such technical work prior to that. It’s just very different from other assignments I’ve received. It’s a pretty good assignment - don’t get me wrong. It was just out of the blue. What if I don’t know anything about app development? Am I expected to learn app dev and also finish this assignment all for an interview? Also, why is a PM interview finished on app dev and not any PM related tasks at all?
stripe’s products are all API and our primary users are developers. We just want to make our PMs can have an appropriate level of user empathy and the friction log/your critique of our API helps us assess that.
Op what's the update
What’s the update op?
@sammy4 can you share an update? Thanks!

Don't know about this interview but the React tutorial can walk you through the basics: https://reactjs.org/tutorial/tutorial.html Stripe's own documentation is legendary. There are a lot of examples and walkthroughs for any skill level to learn more about their products: https://stripe.com/docs
Thank you so much. Super helpful!
